In this life, no one is free from struggles. There are times when we feel strong, but there are also times when our hearts grow weak. There are times when everything seems good, but there are also seasons when problems come one after another: family issues, work, health, ministry, finances, and even worries about the future. Yet amidst all these circumstances, God's Word gives us one sure hope.
Hebrews 13:6 says, “So we say with confidence, ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?’”
Notice this phrase: “we say with confidence.” This means that words of faith are born from a believing heart. We don't just say that God is a helper, but we truly believe that He is present in our lives. God is not a Person far removed from our struggles. Rather, He is a Person who always sees, cares, accompanies, and is able to help us right on time.
Last week, we received a visitation and the fullness of the Holy Spirit. This was not just a coincidental spiritual experience we stumbled upon, but it is God's promise for each of us to be able to live daily life. The Holy Spirit is the Helper God promised to every believer. When we are weak, the Holy Spirit strengthens us. When we are afraid, the Holy Spirit reminds us of God's promises. When we lose our way, the Holy Spirit guides us back to the truth. When our hearts are troubled, the Holy Spirit gives us a peace that the world cannot give.
Therefore, do not let fear dominate our hearts. Problems may not be immediately resolved, but we can face them with a different attitude. We are not walking alone. We are not fighting only with human strength. God's hand is with us, and the Holy Spirit is at work in our lives.
Like David, when he faced Goliath, he did not focus on the size of the enemy before him. He did not drown in fear by seeing himself as small. David remembered the Lord who had helped him before. He believed that the same God who had helped him from the lion and the bear would also be able to give him victory over Goliath.
So it is with us. Perhaps today there is a “Goliath” in our lives. There are problems that seem big, heavy, and frightening. But do not let our eyes be fixed only on the problems. Turn our gaze back to the Lord. Return to His Word, for faith comes from hearing the word of Christ. God's Word will strengthen our hearts, affirm our steps, and remind us that God never leaves us.
Let us rise with new faith. Do not give up. Do not retreat. Do not let doubt extinguish the fire of faith that God has lit. The Holy Spirit has been poured out to help, strengthen, and empower us. God is our Helper. He is never late. He never fails. He never abandons His children.
Whatever we are facing, believe this: God is with us. Hold on to His promises, strengthen your heart, and keep moving forward. We are not walking towards defeat, but towards the victory God has already prepared.
Stay strong !!!
Jesus Blesses You
